O governo da primeira-ministra Angela Merkel, anunciou, na quinta-feira (30), que as medidas de restrições preventivas serão prorrogadas na Alemanha até o dia 10 de maio.
Duas semanas atrás, a Alemanha permitiu que as pequenas empresas abrissem e os 16 estados do país introduziram diferentes regras sobre o uso de máscaras que agora, por determinação federal, serão obrigatórias no transporte público e, na maioria das regiões, nos comércios.
Para aprovar medidas de reabertura de escolas, creches e retomar eventos esportivos as autoridades de saúde resolveram ter mais cuidado, e esperar até o próximo 6 de maio para avaliar os efeitos dos primeiros passos de flexibilização do confinamento antes de uma nova decisão.
Os resultados do levantamento parcial do isolamento não foram péssimos, mas colocaram um alerta. O número de pessoas infectadas com a Covid-19 por cada portador aumentou de aproximadamente 0,7 para 0,96 desde que o país começou a levantar as restrições no dia 20 de abril, informou Lothar Wieler, diretor do Instituto Robert Koch. Isso significa que, na média, 100 pessoas infectadas transmitem o coronavírus para outras 96.
O país é visto como um dos mais bem-sucedidos da Europa na luta contra a pandemia do coronavírus, graças aos testes generalizados, e tem registrado um número de mortes significativamente menor que outros países como Itália, Espanha e o Reino Unido.
Embora esse número significa que a epidemia ainda está sob controle, deixa ao governo alemão pouca margem para tirar mais restrições, já que os cientistas apontam que a cifra, que também se conhece como o número de reprodução, deve permanecer em 1.0 ou menos para conter o vírus. E em Berlim está no limite.
Wieler afirmou que é preciso não relaxar e não subestimar o Covid-19.
“Esse vírus tem um número de características às que não quero expor a ninguém, nem a mim, nem aos meus filhos, para colocar de uma forma direta”, disse, instando os cidadãos a continuar cumprindo as regras de distanciamento social.
“Queremos continuar conseguindo bons resultados, e podemos fazê-lo se seguimos certas regras”, assinalou em coletiva de imprensa. “Não queremos que o sistema de saúde fique sobrecarregado, e não queremos que muitas pessoas morram pelo coronavírus “, observou.
“Com base nesses números de hoje, nós nos precavemos contra uma reabertura total de escolas e creches na situação presente. As crianças podem ser tão infecciosas quanto os adultos”, concluiu.
Quatro dos principais institutos de ciências da Alemanha reafirmaram que os alemães precisam manter distanciamento social ou arriscar um crescimento exponencial do número de casos.
Segundo a universidade Johns Hopkins, cerca de 6.570 pessoas morreram de complicações causadas pela Covid-19 na Alemanha. O número de casos no país, um dos que mais testam no mundo, na tarde de quinta-feira, 30, era de 162 mil 530.
