O presidente da CPI da Pandemia, senador Omar Aziz (PSD-AM), disse que “os indícios” de corrupção na compra de vacinas “são muito fortes. O fato mais grave é que o presidente Bolsonaro foi alertado e não tomou nenhuma providência”.
“A corrupção em plena pandemia é um fato gravíssimo. Mas o pior são as vidas que se perderam pela brincadeira de gabinete paralelo. Essas pessoas não podem ter morrido em vão, elas morreram por omissão, porque [no governo] não acreditaram na ciência, porque o Brasil não quis comprar vacina de laboratório sério, perdeu tempo se reunindo com Precisa, Dominghetti, Joãozinho, Mariazinha”, afirmou Omar.
Para ele, Jair Bolsonaro “mentir é normal, ele é contumaz nisso. Ele prevarica, ele desfaz fatos e cria versões”.
“Ele está internado no hospital, mas está agredindo as pessoas [Bolsonaro teve alta no domingo pela manhã]. Ele tenta se vitimizar o tempo todo, mas a gente não vê na boca do presidente uma palavra de solidariedade ao povo brasileiro. Você só vê ódio”, disse Aziz em entrevista para a CNN.
Omar Aziz disse ainda que o ex-ministro da Saúde, Eduardo Pazuello, “mentiu nacionalmente” porque disse na CPI da Pandemia que não se reuniu com nenhum empresário que oferecia vacinas, alegando que isso era tarefa da parte técnica, mas se encontrou e negociou com empresários que ofereciam doses da CoronaVac três vezes mais caras do que as contratadas com o Instituto Butantan.
“Ele mentiu na CPI dizendo que não tratava desse assunto, e depois ele é pego na mentira. Então o presidente acha que mentir não é nada. No Brasil, um ministro da Saúde pode mentir, não tem problema porque o presidente o perdoa, passa a mão por cima”, afirmou.
“A vacina [CoronaVac], que era US$ 10, seria comprada pelo governo por quase US$ 28 se ele [Pazuello] permanecesse no ministério”, continuou Aziz.
“E mantém no gabinete ao lado dele o general Pazuello e o coronel Elcio [Franco, ex-secretário executivo do MS], que estavam negociando vacinas. Foi o próprio Pazuello que disse que não. A mentira é absorvida pelo mito”.
Depois de saírem do Ministério da Saúde, Eduardo Pazuello foi cotado no cargo de secretário de Assuntos Estratégicos de Bolsonaro e Elcio Franco virou assessor especial da Casa Civil.
Jair Bolsonaro está tentando minimizar a gravidade das irregularidades nos contratos fechados pelo Ministério da Saúde e das negociações com empresas atravessadoras que superfaturavam o preço das vacinas.
Segundo ele, a “prova” de que não houve irregularidade na negociação feita por Eduardo Pazuello é que eles gravaram um vídeo depois da negociação. Bolsonaro não quis comentar o motivo do governo ter escondido que negociou com atravessadores.
Como quem entende do assunto, Bolsonaro disse que “quando se fala em propina, é pelado dentro da piscina”.
“Se eu estivesse na Saúde, eu teria apertado a mão daqueles caras todos. O receber [os representantes]… ele não estava sentado à mesa. Geralmente, teria uma fotografia dele sentado à mesa e negociando. E se fosse propina, não daria entrevista, meu Deus do céu, não faria aquele vídeo”, argumentou.
A denúncia é que Pazuello fez tratativas com uma empresa atravessadora, com uma vacina por valor três vezes mais caro do que a contratada ao Instituto Butantan, que tinha exclusividade na contratação.
Além do mais, Pazuello alegou na CPI que não negociava diretamente com laboratórios, que não era função sua, para explicar por que não se reuniu com a Pfizer em meados de 2020. O vídeo mostra que ele fez negociações e mentiu à CPI.
Bolsonaro falou que “se aparecer corrupção no meu governo, vou ser o primeiro a buscar uma maneira de apurar e deixar na mão da Justiça para que seja apurado”.
Mas quando o servidor do Ministério da Saúde, Luis Ricardo Miranda, e seu irmão, o deputado Luis Miranda (DEM-DF), levaram as provas de que havia um esquema de corrupção na compra da Covaxin, Jair Bolsonaro ignorou.
Para tentar acobertar seus aliados, Bolsonaro não acionou a Polícia Federal.
Atualmente, seu governo tenta desacreditar os irmãos Miranda e dizer que eles estão mentindo.
