Para o senador e ex-governador do Amazonas, presidente da CPI, Bolsonaro “cometeu erros em cima de erros”
O senador e ex-governador do Amazonas, Omar Aziz (PSD-AM), que assumirá a presidência da CPI da Pandemia, disse que a Comissão servirá “para fazer justiça”.
“O Brasil tem 2,5% da população mundial, mas o número de óbitos é em torno de 26%. Alguma coisa está errada. O negacionismo foi um dos principais fatores para termos esse número que temos hoje. A CPI vai apurar os fatos e chegar às suas conclusões”, afirmou o senador, em entrevista ao UOL, na terça-feira (20).
O ex-governador de Amazonas acredita que a vacinação no Brasil está em um ritmo muito lento por erros cometidos pelo governo Bolsonaro. “Nós estamos vacinando de uma forma lenta. O Brasil cometeu erros em cima de erros”, declarou.

Em sua avaliação, o governo Bolsonaro tinha condições de garantir a compra de vacina junto à China e à Pfizer, que fez uma oferta de 70 milhões de doses.
“Como é que o Brasil, que é esse parceiro comercial [da China], não garantiu a compra necessária de vacina para todos os brasileiros? Como a Pfizer não chegou a um acordo para a compra de 70 milhões de vacinas? Isso a CPI vai apurar”, considerou.
O futuro presidente da CPI da Pandemia disse que ministros do governo poderão ser convocados para prestar depoimento. Ele citou o ex-ministro das Relações Exteriores, Ernesto Araújo: “Como não chamar o ex-ministro das Relações Exteriores? Eu quero saber as ações, qual foi a iniciativa daquele cidadão para comprar uma vacina para o Brasil”.
Omar Aziz disse que o governo Bolsonaro não participou da composição da CPI e que não vai comandar seus trabalhos. O senador Randolfe Rodrigues (Rede-AP), que foi articulador da Comissão, será o vice-presidente e o senador Renan Calheiros (MDB-AL) será o relator.
“Não conheço nenhuma CPI que o governo tenha conseguido conduzir como queria”, disse Omar Aziz.

Para ele, as declarações negacionistas de Jair Bolsonaro e seus ministros influenciam na vida das pessoas, como foi o caso da médica que matou uma paciente por ter receitado cloroquina nebulizada.
“É lógico que a condução dos trabalhos muitas vezes são afetadas porque o entendimento do superior é diferente daquilo que a ciência fala. A ciência precisa ser valorizada e é preciso acreditar nela”, frisou.
“O presidente falava de imunização de rebanho. Isso não aconteceu e não acontecerá. A gente não pode achar que a pandemia vai passar amanhã, isso não vai acontecer enquanto a gente não conseguir imunizar a população. Caso contrário, os hospitais vão continuar lotados”, disse.
O senador comentou ainda sobre o ministro da Saúde, Marcelo Queiroga, e o da Economia, Paulo Guedes, que seria convocado para explicar como não há previsão de recursos para o combate à pandemia no Orçamento de 2021, como apontou o Tribunal de Contas da União (TCU).
Omar Aziz garantiu, ainda, que a CPI vai “com certeza” investigar a viagem de uma delegação a Israel, promovida por Jair Bolsonaro, na qual foi conhecer um “spray nasal” contra a Covid e cujos gastos não foram revelados. “Se você usa recurso público para fazer uma viagem, é preciso ter um relatório do que foi feito nela”.

“O que eu não posso é fazer o pré-julgamento”, as investigações vão mostrar “através dos fatos (…) quem é responsável, quem prevaricou, quem deixou de fazer o seu serviço”, concluiu.
